I had to do this 5-6 times in the playthru, and it was annoying, but not remotely game- or save-breaking.
For example, if the mod tells you to go to your room, and you go in and see a letter on your bed, if you grab and read the letter before the dialogue option to do so pops up, then the quest sometimes stalls, and you have to use the setstage command to get to the next step. You also have to wait for all the dialogue options to pop up, which is sometimes frustrating. You just have to slow down, and let the pace of the mod dictate the pace of play.
The only CTD I got was if I opened the map menu while inside of either the Bruma keep or the Cryodiil keep. I had zero CTDs in normal game play, including epic battles with 60-100 people fighting. Freathof's voice files are screwed up so there's a weird reverb, but everyone else was okay. The story is great, the voice acting for Rigmor is stellar, and the rest of the voice acting is okay. The good stuff? You get to see a part of Cyrodil, some beautiful landscapes and have a maritime adventure. And it is way more stable than its prequel Rigmor Of Bruma, quests are much harder to break. Also if you carry a torch for a certain tiny Canadian actress, you might get to virtually scratch that itch a bit. RoC's greatest crime?Guiding your every step. This results in zero chance for roleplay.Next failure?Making believable 3 dimensional characters. This is especially true for the main protagonist,Rigmor. She is simply not convincing as a mix between a PTSD sufferer and Mary Sue extraordinaire.(You are told Rigmor neglects her duties and spends her time drinking with her "friend".So how did she develop her mighty military strategic abilities.?).Moreover the story is all over the place with political intrigue and divine/daedric interventions sloppily mixed in a hard to follow mess. Some plot points are left unaddressed. The dialog is often cringe-worthy.The acting was mediocre to terrible, making the poorly developed npcs even less believable. And do not get me started on the fart jokes.
I hate to dump on mods that are a product of so much effort and dedication. But Rigmor of Cyrodil is terrible.(BTW If you want a wonderfull mod that deals realistically with psychological trauma and great philosophical questions try Enderal).
